Not ordinarily high risk construction work — in a cabinet the operator works outside an enclosed unit through gloved ports. Where a walk-in blast room is entered the confined space provisions and AS 2865-2009 apply. Blasting parts or castings containing at least 1% crystalline silica, or using a silica media, is processing a crystalline silica substance, controlled and (where high risk) requiring a silica risk control plan.
